In energy saving mode, the machine switches to standby mode after 30 minutes of inactivity, i.e. the boiler is no longer heated. The machine can then be reactivated by operating the brewing group lever.\n \\nTo activate or deactivate the energy saving mode, switch the machine off, lift the brewing group lever and then switch the machine back on. After about 5 seconds, the activity light on the power button starts to flash. The energy saving mode is now activated or deactivated.\n \\n\n \\n \u003cb\u003ePriority and temperature switches\u003c\/b\u003e\n \\n\n \\nThere are 2 switches behind the water collecting tray.\n \\n\n \\n \u003cb\u003eIn position 1 is the Xmode steam\u003c\/b\u003e\n \\n\n \\nIn this mode, the machine gives more priority to the steam temperature. As soon as the espresso is made, the machine heats up to provide sufficient steam power.\n \\n\n \\n \u003cb\u003eAt position 0 the Xmode coffee is\u003c\/b\u003e\n \\n \n\\nIn this mode, the priority is on espresso. The steam temperature, and thus the steam pressure, goes down a little, which means that the brewing water does not overheat when inactive, as it does with a normal dual-circuit machine. This makes empty brewing unnecessary.\n \\n\n \\nThe brewing temperature is regulated via the 3-stage switch on the front. The following brewing temperatures can be set:\n \\nPosition 0: approx. 92 degrees - perfect for dark roasts\n \\nPosition I: approx. 94 degrees - perfect for medium roasts\n \\nPosition II: approx. 96 degrees - perfect for light roasts\n \\n\n \\nPlease note that when making espresso, the machine immediately reheats the steam boiler so that milk can be frothed afterwards.
